Submit Your Session Ideas for Geosynthetics Conference 2027!

Be part of the technical program at Geosynthetics Conference 2027, co-located with International Erosion Control Association’s (IECA) Annual Conference. This is your opportunity to shape the event by proposing and organizing a session. With a combined audience from both conferences, expect diverse perspectives and broad engagement.

We welcome creative, innovative proposals, we encourage you to think about new topics and formats.

All presentations must be strictly non-commercial, educational, and generic in nature. Product promotion or sales-focused content is not permitted.


Session Types You Can Propose

Technical Sessions / Topics
Organize and chair a technical session. If approved, related abstracts will be routed to you for review and selection. Most sessions have two chairs, a Primary Chair and a Co-Chair; you may add a Co-Chair in your proposal, or one will be assigned. Chairs oversee abstract and paper reviews and moderate the session onsite. All Chairs receive a registration discount.

  • Call for Abstracts: Feb 15 – Apr 29, 2026
  • Abstract Review: Apr 30 – May 31, 2026
  • First Draft Submission: Jun 1 – Jul 15, 2026
  • First Draft Reviews: Jul 15 – Aug 15, 2026
  • Final Paper Submission: Aug 16 – Sep 16, 2026
  • Final Reviews & Acceptance: Sep 19 – Oct 31, 2026
  • Geosynthetics Conference 2027: Feb 21–24, 2027

Panel Discussions
Organize a panel on a topic of your choice. You’ll organize the content, confirm the moderator and panelists and ensure the session is fully prepared for onsite delivery. Panel participants receive discounted registration.


Special Sessions
Typically organized by a supporting organization or on behalf of a supporting organization. Special Sessions may include one or more 1.5-hour sessions. Speakers receive a registration discount.


Short Courses
Full Day (8 hours) or Half Day (4 hours)
In-depth, topic-focused education, typically led by one primary instructor. Short Course instructors receive a registration discount. Course attendees may receive up to 4–8 PDH for the course, depending on length.


Training Lecture (2 hours)
In-depth, focused sessions typically led by one instructor. Training lecture instructors receive a registration discount.
